Iowa Elementary has now joined many other schools in using the Positive Behavioral Intervention Support program to encourage positive behaviors in students by "catching" them behaving appropriately and rewarding them for their good choices. Since the school mascot of Iowa is the Bear, the staff created an outline of expectations based on the word "BEARS" and had posters made explaining the program.
You will see these posters displayed prominently throughout the school to help reinforce the PBIS program.
